Came back from mid day light grocery run with my commuter bicycle in the full tropical sun, brushed cotton shawl collar cossack and sashiko pants that somewhat can only be worn with harness boots right now with its length, i think I better bring it to open up the hem and perhaps attaching a strip of fabrics inside to win few cm on my leg before it gets faded along the hem.

I just found this pristine/unworn/new condition 1980’s Sears Leather Shop steerhide bomber jacket in a very rare size 48 extra-long on the ‘Bay for $60.
I simply couldn’t resist and I’m glad I pulled the trigger.
This thing is built like a tank (feels like something LW would construct!) and with a quilted liner and snap-on fur collar it keeps me plenty warm. Emar oversized zip works smooth and effortless.
This jacket will be fun to break in during the coming winter months (the grainy texture on the steerhide is already starting to pop after only afew hours of wear).

Blacked out and no bell bottoms today. 21 degrees Fahrenheit but the Troy blanket and black hide makes it easily manageable. Regius knows what he is doing.

Until I can secure my next truck I’m driving this. It’s an ‘09 w 30k on the OD. It’s not really me but it’s a V6 and it’s got a surprising amount of balls. Might see if I can swing by the Northwestern Campus, blare some yacht rock and see if I can’t woo a 23 year old coed into the front seat with promises of getting a great table at Olive Garden. LOL!!
I haven’t driven a car since 1994 and it’s down right terrifying.

I’ve confessed before, I’m a sucker for two way zips. If a jacket has a two way, you can almost guarantee I’ll be walking out with it! I also really like wool jackets! This 3sixteen mechanic’s jacket is pretty neat! It’s a simple yet classic design, and they’ve made it in many different colors over the years.

I’m patiently waiting for 3sixteen to do a collaboration in leather of this jacket. I’ll be the first one in line ;-)

Special thanks to @Peacoat for his informative threads on the USN peacoat. Recent arrival from '53 for the onset of winter in the Great Lakes:

They certainly didn't change appearance between 1953 and 1970. Own and enjoy my wife's brother's 1970 USN peacoat-he is deceased. However, don't find it warm enough if temps dip below high 30's F.
