Thanks. I was hoping that it was off-the-shelf for some retailer currently. It looks like a rare find. When you shaped it, did you make the brim stiff then? I guess it has to be.

This is a $1 mennonite straw I picked up and reshaped. It originally had a blocked in square cattleman's crease and flat-ish brim. The head opening was round. The quality's not great, but it's a good knockabout hat.

It has a 2-1/2" brim. It is absolutely roll-able. I have brought this hat with me on several trips. The crown could be a bit higher for my taste but for warm weather wear and pack-ability it can't be beat.

Its an older American Western Hat. Carouselvic kindly showed me some nearly identical hats in a 1961 Catalog from Utah.
