Montgomery Ward “Brent Supreme” San Fran Jr. western. Not sure of the dates for this quality level. It went back to at least 1941.

From the 1941/42 winter catalog. Gonna need to find the Wards Western Clothes and Riding Equipment Catalog I guess.

Looking forward to selecting which of my Stetson 3Xs will get to be “King Stonky 3X” and live in the hatbox. :p

Welcome. You bought, what is sure to be, a great hat from a great seller of hats.
Thanks! His Ebay rating is 100% positive with hundreds of positive reviews so I felt that I was getting what was advertised and at what I consider a fantastic price!
I have a few "modern" fedoras, but nothing vintage. My oldest current hat is a Stetson in brown Harris Tweed from around 2005 and I also have a black Dobbs Golden Coach Savoy from the around 2012, with a center crease and open crown. It is a 7 1/8, and just 1 RCH too small.

Thanks Mark!

If you can locate others you might see how they breakdown the quality levels. The ‘45 & ‘51 flyers seem to be 2X, 3X, 4X, 5X, 7X for the westerns and the ‘51 as Economy, Good, Better, Best for the dress hats.

The ‘41 had Dunderry (Economy), Brandon (Good), Brent (Better), Brent Supreme (Best) for dress hats.

First purchase of 2026. This is an interesting one and one likely not collected much of or posted about here. It's a Rafael. Rafael was a fashion brand founded by Bill Kaiserman, a New York retail salesman turned hat maker who made a significant impact on American fashion in the 1970s. The brand was known for introducing the "leisure aesthetic" to the American market.

Stetson 3X Beaver, 2 7/8 inch bound brim, with original hatbox. Looks like a late 1940's hat. It's from Porter's in Arizona. Seems like I see more nearly new or excellent condition late 40's to early 50's Stetsons from Porter's than any other stores, for whatever reason.
