It is indeed a Seatlle Woolen jacket. I had one like this with the label. These jackets are beast! I did a video of mine years ago, I called it the heaviest vintage jacket I had owned. That 23 chest is corret and they are big. They have mismatched zipper, as though they were made with whatevery zipper they had available, perhaps wartime shortage. They are from the 40s, probably post war.

The seller will take a $500 offer and it has no rot or flaking (per the seller). I'd love to own it, but it's not a good time for me top buy more jackets.

I'm in the same boat, too many jackets! I just open a Wool jacket. I would not doubt the condition. These are in heavy horsehide unlike most jackets from this era.

I assumed $500 would buy it. Great buy.

Interesting bundle on FB marketplace with his and hers HDs and various additions (overalls, hat, mittens) that belonged to seller's parents. Current asking price is very much not a deal.

Right, so I know there's an entire sub-forum devoted to this but... Not only do I constantly keep forgetting about it (and I don't think I'm alone on this) but since it's intended for general vintage finds of all kinds, there's just too many stuff to browse through - so - how about a thread dedicated only to good deals on leather jackets?
