Seems wingtips have gone "Mainstream" soon we will be seeing teenagers with "Troll Doll" haircuts and wingtips hanging out at the Mall

Interesting shoes, the Barneys... I'm not so sure the wingtip design with the white Oxford-toe type colouring really 'works', but I really like the look of those saddles, and the other pair.

Won't happen. The style is too rarified and too coded (= has too many associations) to catch on in the mass market.

Those are niiiiiiice.

I kinda agree with Fletch; don't see wingtips becoming a teen/mall/hangout item because they're too associated with the business world. Perhaps an exaggerated version-- brothel-creeper style uber-thick soles, or multi-colored, or, God forbid, some kind of skate-inspired canvas/hybrid variant; but old school, conservative, leather wingtips? Probably not going to happen.

Heh, yeah.... they look like somebody painted the toe section of a pair of wingtips, trying to make them look like a pair of two tone Oxfords. That, or somebody decided "let's combine two different designs", but it didn't really work....
