Reviving an older question: has anyone received measurements from SM Warehouse? The quality looks good in the pics and now that buying used from Japan runs the risk of tariffs, this might be the best option for the price. But I can’t get an answer to my emails asking about sizing

They never answer emails and sometimes send out the wrong item. I had to file a complaint with PayPal to get their attention. They did fix it, after a few weeks/months. My advice, eat the tariffs and go with a Japanese brand. If you aren't needing every stitch to be 100% accurate to a WW2 jacket, go with Iron Heart, best quality and no tariffs even though they are Japanese.

SM isn't reliable enough to spend 100s of dollars on.

They claim to make period costumes for Hollywood movies so I doubt they need our business anyway, though it's nice that they are willing to sell to the general public.

Also Dehen 1920 and Heatstraps make deck jackets in the USA.

If you want a cheap period-accurate one, go with Pike Brothers, they are foreign but the price should offset the tariffs.

1st deck jacket day of the season. RMC.

Very nice!

What other manufacturers have you owned in an N-1 @Bfd70? I've only owned Bronson and RMC. The RMC being well worth the difference in price. The high armpit cut in the Bronson makes it nearly impossible to wear anything more than a t-shirt or thin sweatshirt underneath.

Also got myself a Ray Kwok Costume N1 Deck jacket from Taobao.

They claim it be 16oz Jungle cloth, 100% Merino Wool lining on body and sleeves. RiRi Zippers. Weighs around 4 lbs.

Congrats! What’s the length from the bottom of the collar?

Wow. That looks nice. How is the fit and quality?

Owned the real McCoys model for a few years and it was great and super warm but it really bothered me that I couldn't really wear it with a t-shirt without it being scratchy and my gf didn't love it so I recently sold it

I ordered the heat straps deck jacket in the factory seconds sale they had last friday and it looks insane for 800$(or any price).
Full muton shearling lining in the body, collar and pockets + quilted wool lining in the arms combined with 24oz waxed cotton shell is definitely overkill for my weather but I can't wait to get it!

That Ray Kwok looks interesting - it’s a brand I know nothing about.

Another one that doesn’t get mentioned a lot are the Japanese made N1s branded as ‘Houston’. I don’t know who the actual manufacturer of these were, but the lining looks really plush and soft, and they usually sell for less than the more well-known brands on the used marked.
