105 + 35 = 140
140 X 10.71 = 1,499.40

I rounded up 60 cents to $1,500

Ah! Yes. I will pay for the next 35 when I have to. [emoji16]

I love putting on a hat that fits as if it was made for me. Once you feel that, you tend to avoid wearing the others, and I want to rotate through all of them. Otherwise, why did I buy them?

Ignacio told me that the ones he has conformed would lose their shape over time, and that a custom block would keep that from happening. I have felt for myself it is true, because oftentimes when I wear a hat that I haven't used in a couple of months the hat feels tight on my forehead.
I don't want to lose the money I spent on Ignacio, so I followed his advice.

I haven't conformed all of them, because the ones that are close to fitting easily copy the shape of the blocks over time, so I don't have to spend money on conforming them.

At this point I think you should qualify for a bulk discount.

It's already pretty cheap...

I expected to pay more. Thankfully, I read "The Art of the Deal". [emoji6]

I'm not familiar with labor rates in Mexico. I would figure at this point production was semi-automated with a jig or fully automated with CNC. Throw in cost of materials, there's probably not that much mark up for profit at that price. Must be using the Walmart strategy of making a few pennies x mass volume.

Wood is a lot more expensive in Mexico. That is why houses are made of brick and concrete.
A wooden house would be very expensive here.
Labor is a lot cheaper, as is the cost of living. That is one of the reasons I prefer living in Mexico.

Sandra just found a 6 bedroom, 3 bath house in Cuenca for rent at $750/month. I said, great.... but why do we need 6 bedrooms? I only need one room for my hats!

Oh, but you will need the other 5 bedrooms, Doug. Latinos are gregarious.

There have been some serious conversations of late about me restoring some order to the boots and hats room, so yesterday I did.
