Fedora Hat storage

Ran across this, but it was NFS. Looks like it was made to rotate.

Well, now that I have a nice hat- freaking out man! Lol

Should I put my hats in these? Is there a better/different acceptable solution?

I’ve seen some stuff about mothballs, but I really don’t want them. Are there alternatives that actually work?

I found a more expensive box, pics attached.

Best option to accommodate all brim widths. Price has more than doubled since I bought mine.

Mothballs are effedctive (if you can still find them - over here at least they're not so common as once they were, and I've never found another alternative that's as effective). Some folks don't like the smell, I do - ymmv. The main drawback I found is that they can disintegrate into powder over time and end up all over the hat...

A fully sealable, airtight container is a better option imo. I do have a large, banana-box size (liked a large suitcase size) one I keep about half a dozen fedoras in, though more of smaller one would bed better if you want a case for each hat.

For wool caps I currently have two of these: https://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B0046MHRMM?ref_=ppx_hzsearch_conn_dt_b_fed_asin_title_1 Cheap and very effective; I wish I could find one of these about three inches deeper and 15" across or so, it would be perfect for a good fedora. Will probably pick a couple more up for porkpies and the likes, though.

Straws and linen / cotton caps I tend to keep out on view, as those don't attract moths, fortunately!

If I may humbly suggest - https://ebay.us/m/2b3zCp

These are the absolute best. I have one of those with a much-loved fedora in it, and it's just ideal. The shape is also fantastic for taking a hat travelling; mine's been with me to Paris, Belfast and I think I took it to Beijing once as well. Packed into a decent suitcase, it allows a hat to fly in the hold with less worry than if were even on my head in the cabin. Hard recommend! The shape doesn't stack as well as some alternatives, but that's not a worry, given how good the protection is. At some point I intend to pick up enough of these for all my most-valued fedoras.

I also have one of these: https://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B0CN363KGH?ref_=ppx_hzsearch_conn_dt_b_fed_asin_title_3&th=1

Very effective for anyone who needs a dustcover that will keep the moths off, though it's really one that needs to sit on the top of a pile, and I wouldn't trust it for travel...

I fantasise about living in a house sufficiently moth-free to be able to even think about doing that!
I believe I have posted the the travel hat carriers that I use and sell on eBay. Today I have now received the next level of travel hat case. The hat backpack. Carry your hat and other things in a backpack style travel case

Pretty cool.

Interesting idea. Looks like it would make an effective carry-on for long haul flights. I've always been happy enough putting one of my Akubras in the overhead bin, but a good case actually makes taking two brimmed hats on a trip an option ,which can be nice, especially if away from home for a couple of weeks.
