I have a pair of these stashed away some place, they are fairly nice. The "Chip" boots are really nice as well, hard to beat for the money.

Are these all Made in U.S.?
I love the Chippewa work boots that I have. Most comfortable boots I own.
After owning the first boots for a couple of years, I bought a second pair on sale (same size, so I didn't try them on).
Very uncomfortable, and they have not "broken in".
When I looked closely at the second pair, I found the "Made in China" label.
Too bad when Chippewa out-sourced, they did send the Chinese manufacturer the lasts as well.

Some of the Chips are made outsourced, some here in the USA. My cobbler sells all brands of boots, has catalogs to order what he does not carry in his shop. The catalogs the factory sends him on Chips will show a US Flag logo next to any boots made in the USA, and if there is no flag, they are not made in the USA on the particular model. It may be if someone finds a PDF File catalog, it would help aide in knowing which boots are actually made in the USA.

We just have news from a line pre view for the fall. We will have to keep a eye on where these come available online.
I am sure you will not find these at Dillards.

These boots look outstanding!

When I still worked as a paramedic, I wore black Chippewa work boots (with steel shank and toe). They were really great, well made boots. Those particular pair of boots saved my feet from injury several times.

Thanks js0930. I like the Service boot too. I did some basic research on Zappos for other Chippewa boots like these 11" engineer boots (on sale by the way for $209.99)http://www.zappos.com/chippewa-engineer-steel-toe-11-black?zfcTest=fcl%3A0 They state in the description that they are made in the US.

This was not the case for the Service boots I'm afraid. So, I guess I'll be spending an additional $70 to get the Red Wing 9016.

I'd be willing to bet that the Chippewa Service boots are made in the US. Most of Chippewas goodyear welted/traditional looking boots are. I believe the only boots they import are the more "tactical" looking footwear. The same should go for Red Wing.

I'm sad they don't seem to have those 8-10" lace to toe boots that they had in that first post. Hopefully there is still more that has yet to be released by Chippewa.

Thanks for the info, but the buckles on the engineer boot look like the new ones Chippewa uses, not the old squarish ones.

This Chippewa style looks almost the same except chrome eyelets on the Service boot. Maybe they are the same? $70 cheaper
