One jacket to rule them all

I am searching for my first high-quality horsehide leather jacket, preferably from Thedi. The problem is that he makes so many great jackets that I simply can't choose.

So my question is: if you could buy only one leather jacket—the first and the last leather jacket you would ever own—which model would you choose from Thedi, or would you go with another brand instead?

Think of practical things if you go for the one do it all. To me that would be:

-enough inner and outer pockets to store all my stuff; wallet, change, phone, keys, newspaper?, whatever

-versatile design that works in different settings and in which you can dress up and down

-length; if you want to ride in it, make sure it's not too long in the front of has a two way zipper at least. If you don't want to ride in it, don't pick a leather too heavy because you might carry more weight on you than necessary on longer walks

I don't own a Thedi, I am sure you can get a jacket that fulfils all these one for everything practical questions. There certainly are other makers too. Just make sure to pick a maker with good patterns.

Thanks for the great tips.

I am currently choosing between the half belt sports jacket, Jean jacket, or the recent roughout jackets he posted and these two see picture (altought the red one i want in teacore bruciato if chosen and the other one in horse roughout)

I forgot to mention. Everyone starts with buying one jacket....but I don't know a single person who bought one jacket and end up with one jacket. Some guys here have literally a room full of jackets.

Haha, I was that person. Definitely scoped out my "just one ideal jacket". Now I have 4...

I’d always go for a Cossack jacket. Goes with everything, always appropriate

Important consideration. When I was fifteen, the only leather jacket I wanted in the world was a black Perfecto style crosszip. Nowadays I'm much more open minded about my choice of leathers. There are some, though, that are much more limited. If a jacket only looks right with jeans to me, it'll see an awful lot less wear than one I can throw on with a collar and tie.
