In support of Australia Day as has been done by ALL of our Forum members who are Akubra owners, I to wore one of my Akubra's, my newer Bushman![]()
Cold day today. My head be warm.

Buckaroo hatters full beaver. Tossing around the idea of having Mike cut it down to open road width and binding the brim.
John Lofgren Monkey Boots Shinki Horsebuttt - $1,136 The classic monkey boot silhouette in an incredibly rich Shinki russet horse leather.
Grant Stone Diesel Boot Dark Olive Chromexcel - $395 Goodyear welted, Horween Chromexcel, classic good looks.
Schott 568 Vandals Jacket - $1,250 The classic Perfecto motorcycle jacket, in a very special limited-edition Schott double rider style. Looks great, IC! Man, haven't seen that one in a long, long time. If you cut it down, though, the acorns will hang in front of your face lol.
I would replace them with a black open road style ribbon![]()
I think you should leave it as is. If you want a black Open Road, get a black Open Road. That hat is already really cool.
I do want to replace the acorn with a band of some sort. I don't like it being confused with a "yankee" hat![]()

Been developing this new crease in my Buckaroo Hatters western all day. I finally decided on what seems like a Gus crease lacking side dents. Don't know what to call it, but I really like it.

Like I said Jimmy, you have some serious brim competition out there!
Cheers!
