Your opinon on Simmons Bilt?

Surprisingly I had the opposite experience - great communication and customer service, but awful QC as far as the finished jacket goes. Got myself a refund from them, but I'd rather avoid them in the future.
Interesting to hear.

I asked them about my Simmons Bilt jacket (first image). More info on the spesific leather used, production year etc. No answer.

I might still have to ask here on the forum if anyone has more detailed info.

About the same question on my Connolly steerhide Highwayman (second image). Mostly interested in the production year. I got a quick reply of it being a Connolly steerhide jacket from 85/86.

So you are asking Simmons Bilt about jackets you have bought on the used market and not from them or one of their new resellers ?
Under those circumstances I think you are being harsh on them.
My 2 jackets came from a USA reseller then posted to Australia and any subsequent enquiries to Simmons Bilt direct were well recieved.
Plenty of back and forth conversation and I sent them photos of the jackets "in the wild" in Australia.
My petsonal findings 100% positive

Yes, that's correct. I don't expect them to answer every question in detail, especially if the jacket wasn't bought directly from them. My point is simply that I think it's poor customer service not to reply at all.

Even a short message saying, "Sorry, we can't provide information on jackets bought second-hand," would have been perfectly fine. Any reply is better than complete silence.

The reason I mentioned Aero is because I asked them a very similar question about a second-hand jacket, and they replied quickly with all the information I was looking for. So I have a direct comparison. That said, it's good to hear you've had such a positive experience with Simmons Bilt.
