I'm going to the snow in a month. What is a good 1930s/1940s style boot I can buy for wearing in the snow?
Sincerely,

John Lofgren Monkey Boots Shinki Horsebuttt - $1,136 The classic monkey boot silhouette in an incredibly rich Shinki russet horse leather.
Grant Stone Diesel Boot Dark Olive Chromexcel - $395 Goodyear welted, Horween Chromexcel, classic good looks.
Schott 568 Vandals Jacket - $1,250 The classic Perfecto motorcycle jacket, in a very special limited-edition Schott double rider style. They look like old ski boots. The most vintagey thing about them is that they're plain and brown.Tomasso said:Try the Sundowner by Vasque. They have a somewhat vintage look to them.

Nicely comfortable, steel shanked (nowadays - mine aren't), great for keeping the wet out and for layering socks underneath. But I wouldn't hike or do anything strenuous in them beyond tromping around casually in thewhitestuff.
