when were these cars produced?

so this is the car of somebody of my family. but i don't know anybody on the pic. the dresses look like they had in the 40's-50's - what do you think?

That's an Auto Union (now Audi) / DKW 3=6, built in that form from '53 - '57.

It had a three cylinder twostroke engine, which has the same sort of power delivery as a six cylinder fourstroke, hence 3=6!

I have one of these, a 1953 DKW, but it needs a lot of work. One of these days, it would make a great little town car.

Here's a link to DKW clubs worldwide, there's one in Austria. They could probably tell you what average upkeep costs are. You could probably lay hands on a used one in good working order, though it's keeping it that way that's the trick.
