Always nice to see, your Susquehana is super, Robert. Classic!

From personal experience I believe there is a global pandemic of wretched hernias, straight out of a laboratory somewhere!
That's a point Charlie, I didn't think to ask the surgeon that. He was a kind man though, I asked about the anaesthetic, given that I am no spring chicken. To reassure me he's arranged an apointment with the anaesthetist later this afternoon. This anaesthetist guy is a professor no less.

At that last appointment, the medical secretary waxed lyrical about my hat. This is a previous photo but it's what I will wear this afternoon, I couldn't let the lady down, not after she asked to photograph me.

On this glorious morning it's shirt and trousers by Tina, ( there's another shirt in the pipeline, ) and as Tina likes this particular bespoke hat, then so be it.

Later I shall drop the lady off at her hairdresser, get our provisions shopping done whilst she gets her hair done, then I will collect her, before returning home to change, after that I will be off to see that professor.

I love hats with stories...

Todays number was once a big Stetson Gus. A rancher friend of mine gave it to me after it blew off his head and a couple of goats started eating the brim. I had to trim the brim all the way down to 2-1/4" to get rid of the teeth marks. It was a work hat so its had sweat, dirt, and oil splatters.... Did a couple of gas baths to clean up and threw on a nice Panama hatband band and played with a deep top bash to hide the big crown and little brim. But its back in use and Ive got the only one just like it!

so special that its my official Birthday hat today!

Even though is it only September, I am feeling freshly frosted in this Brian Forbes white hat covered with snowflakes. It has winter written all over it—literally. When I slip it on, I feel like I am not just wearing a hat ... I feel like I am making the forecast: 100% chance of a blizzard. "Now, what’s cooler than being cool? (Ice cold!)" - Outkast

Heading out this morning in my favorite light green hat. A long oval 3x Stetson. Light mint green with rose ribbon and binding. The wind cord on this one has a mind of its own lol No mater how many times its gets snugged and smoothed the cord always gets wavy. Its got attitude!!
