It is Sunday Funday, my fellow hat nerds. I will be going live at 10:45am EST for the next installment of Hat Chat while wearing my Dobbs Fifteen Homburg. Please feel free to pop in and leave me any questions about anything (though no politics please ... unless it is hat-related!). If you want to see more of this kind of content, please like the video and subscribe to channel as that motivates me to keep this going.

Here's the second score from yesterday, a little rarer, I think, than the Resistol.

A Stetson Slant, in a beautiful soft blue. Purchased in 1943, from Falk's in Boise, by a woman living in Emmett (about 33 miles north of the capital). Research leads me to believe she likely purchased it for her 19-year-old son, or, less likely, her husband, who I judge would have been around 40. The son, by the way, lived to the age of 99, and just passed earlier this year. That's why I suspect he was the recipient, since it makes the timing right for this have recently made its way to a vintage goods dealer.

My deepest apologies, Robert! I would never KNOWINGLY tempt a gentleman into sinful ways! ;)
Apologies accepted Mark, my mind has been distracted from your enviable hat.

For church today I wore the Gamble & ***n bespoke, dove grey fedora, but that's not what has distracted me from Mark's vintage hat. Tina's health continues to improve and now she is in her cabin sewing again.

Stefan, if you are reading this, The Borsalino has got that Sunday suave appeal. The collar and tie sit well with it too. Looking good Sir.

As usual, all fantastic but that Borsalino Homburg has to be favorite of the bunch this week.

Fantastic hats @steur — I always look forward to your weekly post!

Interesting contrasting ribbons on your hats this week. I have a couple of vintage silverbelly Open Roads with missing hat ban ribbons (typically 3/8” grosgrain) and I am having a heck of a time matching the color with ribbon I can find today. Your Borsalino Ludosca has given me inspiration to try a different approach.

The Sunday hats got delayed to Monday. First Sunday of August is the day of the Deventer Bookmarket (biggest in Europe), so that kept me occupied yesterday. But here are the hats of last week.

In short, there's always plenty to choose from, whether the hats arrive on Monday or Sunday.
A Monday and Sunday in August with an exceptional parade of hats.
