Dinerman, you've inspired me yet again. I'll wear my grey Stetson Bantam this afternoon.


I added ventilation holes to mine:

How'd you do that, Marc?

Make a template of the hole pattern; use it to mark the holes onto the hat; use a Dremel drill with a very small bit; and then very lightly sand the felt around and in the new holes. It takes a steady hand and some practice, but it works. If you do it right and the felt is thin enough, the holes don't close back up.

You said it! I practiced a lot on an old trashed fedora before trying my hand on good ones. That trashed hat looks like a pincushion now.
