Great looking hat Dman! no I don't think it is that old maybe somewhere in the Sixties. It is a very soft hat I mean really soft. It is not however my flavor and it fits more like a 1/8 rather than a 1/4 so I may put this up.

I think Stetson in it's day was still better than that Italian brand. Borsy made some nice soft hats back then though the Stetson's have appeared to hold up better.

In fact, I was looking today at my '30s Borsalino, whose silhouette and dimensions are practically identical to those of my Stetson 3X. You can tell that the felt quality and texture were once identical, too -- except that the (lightly used) Borsalino is no longer so soft and supple, while the (lightly used) Stetson 3X still is.
