Douglas -- great lids. I like the panama -- but I really love that 3X OR. Unless I'm mistaken, you can probably corroborate that, even in the 60's, Stetson was making some damn fine lids -- the 3X OR being one of them...

I agree JtL, This one was still sold open crowned. Although it does not have
the 2" sweat the felt is suprisingly ok. I am happy with it. It still has not been fully broken in. As far as the straw, I have been looking for one for a while that didn't have shelac in it. This looks like it could be from the Sixties as well.
I can't wait for summer or spring for that matter. Hell I'll settle for a warmish sunny day.

Michael - Both of those ORs are wonderful but I'm partial to the beater.

Jimmy - I AM NOT WORTHY! That hat kills me man. Wow.

Douglas - The 3X is cool but ordinary (although the way you combine the whole outfit is always tremendous) but the straw is really very cool. Keeping my eye out for one like that myself.
