Rusty, that's awesome. Where have all the fur felt top hats with western pencil rolls gone!? No way that's a melusine, is it?


My dad sent me this link, mostly because many of the pictures were taken in South Dakota, particularly on the Pine Ridge reservation. There are some incredible hats here, if you scroll down about 20% of the way and start there. My favorite might be Chiefs Red Cloud and American Horse, American Horse sporting the sweetest BOP I may ever have seen. Enjoy!

I was under the impression that they stopped making toppers from fur felt before the civil war and went to silk.
