In a sense, you could say it was staged. But there's more to this as
explained by Mr. Rosenthal.

For me, what matters is what it represented... and still does.

I believe Rainbow Jones was a character in a 70s Pam Grier flick.

Give 'dat man a seegar. A little online research, and probably the same website where Bob found that photo, confirms it is indeed "Rainbow Tones":
