I do love the "square" look of this nice old Derby. Is it a brown or tan color. I want a non-black derby, covet.

I think it's paint, I've tried gently scraping at it, some naptha, which faded the stain ever so slightly, but it looks like it's here to stay. oooh wellIncredible Justin, a real museum piece. What type of stain is that white patch on the crown, is it cleanable?

Love the light colored sweatbandFerdinand Walter Mödling - Baden (Austria), 5.25 oz / 149 g, excellence condition, possibly 1930s could late 1920s. Ferdinand Walter Mödling - Baden appears in the Austrian Hat Industry Guide (1926) but not sure if they made hats. There is no other company mark. The felt is fantastic same with the form. The bow is slightly offset.

I've been wanting a proper English Bowler. Stefan found this British beauty for me. Made by C.S. Royle & Co. from London and Stockport, this older (1930s ?) Stiff Felt is light as a feather. I need to get it on a scale, but it is by far my lightest. The sweat is in great shape and has a wonderful light brown sheen. The front of the brim binding is a little tattered, I would like to think it is from tipping it to the ladies. I think it gives it some character. The tight curl is also a nice feature.
