Who Owns A Goorin

Friends,

I bought the SEAWORTHY from Goorin Bros. in Austin, TX. in August of 2013. A couple of years ago the brim ripped away from the crown when I pulled it down against the wind. I sent it out to someone in New Orleans for repair, but the repair was hot glue (I could have done that MYSELF!!!). A few months later the repair failed. I looked at every seller on Amazon and Googled it multiple times but could never find an acceptable hat that I could buy and transfer the hat band to. This past January I discovered WILD HATS on Youtube. I watched a bunch of their videos and eventually realized that they could recreate my beloved hat in FELT and transfer the band. I got the ball rolling and got an appointment for this past Friday the 12th of June for my decoration (finishing) appointment. This could have been done via video call, but I made the drive to Louisville, KY. from Saint Louis. I'm glad I did. I got to see the place in person. Look them up. They can do whatever you need done. And Chandler told me it was the shortest brim he'd ever cut.
The only WHY hat I have ever seen has the leather sweat band glued in place. When you pick your hat up let us know if it is sewn in place or hot glued.

When you say, "WHY" do you mean "Wild Hats of Louisville, Kentucky"? I messaged two of the people there and one responded in hours saying, "No we lean way from using glue. Even for decorations". I followed up saying why I'd asked, and they'd responded with, "I'm not sure. It could be they tried fixing it themselves too. But we've always stitched in sweatbands". So BELFASTBOY my question to you is can you identify positively an owner of a supposed WILD HAT with a glued in sweat band? Or is this someone you met in passing? Is it just someone you messaged with online who told you they had a WILD HAT with a glued in sweat band? Can you give me an e-mail address for this person or other contact info? I'd like photos of the hat, and the name they gave to what they believed was WILD HATS. Chandler at WILD HATS made a video or two about ****mers trying to intercept their potential customers. They do NOT accept paypal payments so if someone tries to get you to use paypal then you know you've got a ****mer. The only way to pay them is through a credit card. It's best to use their web-site and make sure it's them before you click on any links. I'm thinking if you know someone who says they have a WILD HAT but it's got a glued in sweat band that they got a ****mer and they just don't realize it. Easiest way to determine this is to send me the persons contact info with the actual name they used with what they thought was WILD HATS. I'll contact WILD HATS and have them run it through their system and I'm willing to bet they'll find that person was NEVER a customer. Hey, LOOK!!! I just wrote "War & Peace"!!! Cheers, CKB (and I picked my hat up Friday. I'm wearing it in the photo I attached to the last post I made which you responded to. That sweat band is so well stitched in it 'aint never comin' out!!! I actually made the pilgrimage to Mecca... I mean Louisville, to meet them and get the hat finished.)

Great to know they are not gluing in the sweat bands.
