Well, it's been over a year since I last posted any photos, but I've been on a few wonderful vacations, two weddings, and some very lovely state parks since, so let's go through some of the highlights!
Had a wedding in Marco Island, Florida. My cousin (the groom) paid for an all expense trip to the JW Marriott, which was extremely nice. Marco Island being situated where it is, I visited Big Cyprus, Picayune Strands, and went on an airboat tour while I was down there.
July 5th, I took a nice little trip to some more local state parks.

A couple of b/w FILM photos I recently took for an opening-this-weekend exhibition about the decline and resurgence of Beacon, NY. Three other photographers shot with digital gear, but the venue director also wanted some old-school film images. This is my first time with photos in a proper art show... though I've been shooting film since the 1960s!
These negative scans were done professionally and are much sharper than my own scans. Frankly, I'm surprised just how sharp these are for 35mm negatives.
Hat factory ruins shot with a seventies Olympus OM-2n, 35mm lens, and Kodak Tri-X film.
Main Street towers shot with a sixties Nikon Nikkormat FTN, 105mm lens, and Kodak Double-X film.

Here's a photo of Long Point taken from a commercial airline by a friend returning home. Really shows the sandbars, etc, well. Lake Erie of course is a shallow lake and when I was a kid urban legend had it that you take a small boat out into the middle of the lake and apparently you could get out and stand on sand in spots.
Update: The photo is in fact of Long Point, not Point Pelee, as pointed out to me by a friend who has camped in both places, haha

This was a couple of weeks ago at a local farm and forestry festival. It was mostly Amish.
The Boise Greenbelt Truss, as it is now known, was built in 1923, replacing an older, wooden, trestle that had served downtown Boise as a spur line since 1893. The newer bridge, built utilizing Pratt trusses, would serve as a (primarily) freight-train route until 1985, when operations were halted. The spur line was officially scrapped in 1986 and in 1988 the truss was converted to a pedestrian and bicycle pathway. It continues in that capacity today, spanning the Boise River just south of U.S. Route 26.
