Picked this coat up today, it is in excellent condition however it is a bit too big for me at a 42R, I fit a 38 or 40R better but for the price I figured I would buy it and try it. To me it seems to be in the style of a covert coat but it doesn't have the 4 rows of stitching on the sleeves and hem, does anyone have a better description? Single vent, single breasted three button and three buttons at the cuffs, non-working. Sorry for the camphone pics, it is made from the same wool material as a covert coat I once owned. Has anyone heard of the maker Kilmaine, in the inside pocket there is a little pink label with the size and what I assume is the style name "Carlow".

Chasseur, that's a really nice coat. There is something very classic about the color and styling of those polo or camel coats (whatever you call them).

Thanks guys! Actually it doesn't really get that cold here (except on mountains), its more for when I go traveling during the winter other places.

(Repost from trench coats): Not a trenchcoat, but my everyday raincoat, drying from yesterday's showers is a 1970's Brooks Bros. "fowler's jacket". Fine cotton, flannel lined, wide corduroy collar, inner duck call and zip pockets, outer details include handwarmer slash pockets, reinforced right forearm for cradling *******, and rear double-zipper snap-expanded with waterproof (make that blood-proof) lined game pouch.

Also not a trenchcoat, my winter dress-grade overcoat: vintage early 1960's The Crombie Seal Skin "loomed in Scotland for Caswell's of Saskatoon".
Heavy, butter soft herringbone weave wool outer, brushed flannel finish wool inner with satin half-lining. (this is the softest, most luxurious heavy-weight wool I have ever seen or felt - cashmere, alpaca, vicuna bar none; scottish elf magic? looks like black-on-black Harris tweed herringbone but feels like fine cashmere/lambswool blend.) Shown with Brooks Bros. cashmere muffler, Christian Dior silk tie.

Thanks HBK. :)

It wasn't in the sale, TT but I thought it was reasonably priced for its age and size (£135). They certainly do get some interesting items on that site. I'll have to stop looking for a bit, spent too much recently.
