You’ve mentioned this before and you won’t get no argument from me.
I too would rather be there flippin' pages like crazy with Dorothy!
But noticed the dejected look on Malone when Bogie makes his farewell
from the book-shop, she knows she’s not ever going to see him
again.
Bogie might be good with solving cases....but not with how to treat
a doll like Malone.
If it was me, I’d go back to the book-shop to get my book card
punched again and more important show her know how much
I cared for her.
A little bit of history on this gas station.
Ca. 1959-60 timeframe, I think. The Chevy on the far left is a '59, and the dark T-Bird turning in up the street on the far right is one of the "Square Birds" of '58, 59, or '60. The pic could be from later, but people tended to trade their cars more often in those days, despite the '55 Chevy Nomad in the center to say otherwise.
I know it's not one, but the 2-door fastback style is much like the first car I remember well, my father's '47 Cadillac.
John Lofgren Monkey Boots Shinki Horsebuttt - $1,136 The classic monkey boot silhouette in an incredibly rich Shinki russet horse leather.
Grant Stone Diesel Boot Dark Olive Chromexcel - $395 Goodyear welted, Horween Chromexcel, classic good looks.
Schott 568 Vandals Jacket - $1,250 The classic Perfecto motorcycle jacket, in a very special limited-edition Schott double rider style. Same here. My father's first car was a 1950 Chevrolet "Deluxe," black, four-door. It had "spats" for the rear wheels or whatever they were called. They weren't as big as they looked.
