newest favourite - vintage 1940s rayon long evening gown, bought at the June 2010 Deco Show and Sale in SF, first time worn last Saturday on the USS Hornet at the Glenn Miller Orchestra dance! This gown is a lovely medium raspberry shade with old gold and dusty aqua beading, though it is photographing coral here for some strange reason

One of my favourite dresses is my 1930s black satin, bias evening gown. It has amazing metal gold thread flowers embroidered on the sleeves (it's actually a metal thread) and gold fabric stitched into the sleeves as a contrast with gold fabric I have never seen anywhere else. I wore it to dinner on the recent Queen Mary event in May. I will post more of my fav things soon.
