Thanks Jack! Yeah the colors and chain stitch are really something. Even better to have the yoke detail too. I wasn’t crazy about the cream piping at first but it’s grown on me.
Those are fantastic!!!Playing hooky this morning, and finally remembered to snap some pics of these beauties. Green is all wool and the black is Jaspe cotton. Both are functional 4 snap cuffs and Concho collars. Got them both for slightly under msrp, but figured they were worth the cost since these rarely pop up, let alone in my size L.

I love these shirts and I think they represent some of the finest work Ralph has done in his RRL lineup. I also like that Ralph didn't try to reinvent the wheel, he just improved upon designs and themes he already loved. I look at a lot of vintage western wear and over time, it's become apparent Ralph and his design team spent a lot of time looking at particular brands for designs of their own shirts. I think they likely have a pretty big collection of California Ranchwear and H Bar C shirts tucked away because they often use elements from those designs in their shirts. Some are near copies. Here are a couple of examples.Playing hooky this morning, and finally remembered to snap some pics of these beauties. Green is all wool and the black is Jaspe cotton. @RossRYoungThis one recently sold on Etsy.
John Lofgren Monkey Boots Shinki Horsebuttt - $1,136 The classic monkey boot silhouette in an incredibly rich Shinki russet horse leather.
Grant Stone Diesel Boot Dark Olive Chromexcel - $395 Goodyear welted, Horween Chromexcel, classic good looks.
Schott 568 Vandals Jacket - $1,250 The classic Perfecto motorcycle jacket, in a very special limited-edition Schott double rider style. Thanks, Ross! I've sat on my hands several times over the black fringe one.Great research, BB! I had the opportunity to buy the black fringe one in store a while back. It was too rich for me at the time, and I’ve since tried to find it used but they’re all priced above retail…
Agreed, Jack!
I think it's good in moderation. Personally I prefer the more hybrid western look. So cowboy boots that aren't fully cowboy, or rather engineers.certain elements, i think, can be done well.
my father wore cowboy boots rather than engineer boots during the 50's, and that was southern tier NY.
Bogart wore a thin tooled ranger belt in The Big Sleep.
i wear a big vintage silver/turquoise buckle with a ringer tshirt and jeans.
but, if you mean boots/jeans/hat/etc. all at once i think you better have a local rodeo in your area to pull it off.
And the beard pony?Who could have missed the cowboy hat and the vintage car (buggy?) in the background?
