Yeah, all these replies kind of sum up my thoughts too. It's a 25-pair run, so not like it's going to be a standard issue model here. Heck, I even got a little self-conscious wearing a LW J-23 (studded from LW) and moved it along.

what's funny is they want to do the clothes that were originally 'counterculture' but as soon as something deviates from that small accepted range it's too much lol.

You really can't go wrong with a solid pair of Goodyear welted plain toe boots. I find that they balance out the bulk of a heavy leather or canvas jacket perfectly without looking too formal. Still trying to figure out what my next pair should be for the upcoming colder months, honestly.
