Thank you @jchance I appreciate the thoughts on the Golden Bear - I get confused between Golden Bear and Californian.I don’t have any personal experience with Golden Bear, but they are still around. Their older MiUSA leather jackets were good quality for the price (usually below $100). They frequently do collabs with well-known designers like Todd Snyder, Reigning Champ, Taylor Stitch, Unionmade, etc.
It’s prob cowhide, horsehide is pretty rare to find on a bomber style.
Body length also too short for a car coat. So yeah, nonsense measurements, but might be worth a gamble at that price. Wait for 10% off on FJP and ask to negotiate extra 10% if you want to be extra safe. The measurement seems out of whack! The sleeve length is too short for size 36, and the shoulder is too narrow
I really like the leather though.
This may be a dumb question, but what's FJP, and also how can you ask sellers for a discount on buyer? Do you have to do it on the main site like Marcari, and if so, were you able to get around the non-Japan limitations when creating a account for it?Body length also too short for a car coat. FromJapan makes 10% off mercari campaigns weekly and they can negotiate 10% on Mercari for you. This may be a dumb question, but what's FJP, and also how can you ask sellers for a discount on buyer? I see. I'm assuming FromJapan is a service similar to Buyer then?FromJapan makes 10% off mercari campaigns weekly and they can negotiate 10% on Mercari for you.
Yes like buyee. Depends on where you live and what is the declared (or proven!) value.I see. I'm assuming FromJapan is a service similar to Buyer then?
Also, anyone know if there are tariffs charged on items from Japan now?
John Lofgren Monkey Boots Shinki Horsebuttt - $1,136 The classic monkey boot silhouette in an incredibly rich Shinki russet horse leather.
Grant Stone Diesel Boot Dark Olive Chromexcel - $395 Goodyear welted, Horween Chromexcel, classic good looks.
Schott 568 Vandals Jacket - $1,250 The classic Perfecto motorcycle jacket, in a very special limited-edition Schott double rider style. Thank you for the info Dort! You think if I purchase some items now they'll be here before the 29th?Anything landing in the US from FromJapan or Buyee will have tariffs added to it with no minimum amount starting on August 29. It’s only 15% for now but Orange Man will be sure to protect us by raising it to 50%. I’m guessing it’ll be charged by the shipping companies. If you use EMS, there will be a flat rate per item charge of unknown but likely painful amount by USPS until USPS updates its systems. EMS is also unreliable now due to customs backlog in the US.
Bear in mind that it takes at least a week to assemble items for shipping using these proxy services.
Yeah, you can probably get in purchases for the next four or five days. FYI... buyee.jp has an excellent 15% off coupon for purchases above 50000 yen on JDirectAuctions. It ends on Aug 13 US time. 10% off Mercari coupons are occurring more frequently, too.Thank you for the info Dort! You think if I purchase some items now they'll be here before the 29th?
