Not that this is a great example because it's clearly overpriced for a toasted jacket....but anyone have any read on why Vanson's seem to be sold second hand so close to their retail price compared to other brands? It's not like they're hard to find/short on supply like a Real McCoy's J-24. Or require a custom order and lead time like a Thedi.The beef jerky special
Obviously they seem like an incredible brand so I get it if the answer is just simply it's a great quality jacket that holds its value, but so is Schott and yet that's another ubiquitous/classic American brand but one that loses its value tremendously secondhand vs. retail.
I've never owned one so I've had my eye on eBay alerts and elsewhere, and I'm always surprised to see secondhand stuff going for about $500 when it's maybe $700 new.
