I love the liner in the old Stetson, and the store sign is about as classic as they come.

The sanding process machines at Stetson.

Out of order, but this is the leavings from the sanding process.

Sanding machines are placed in a row and a finer grade of paper is used on each one. A hat in the process goes down the line for progressively finer work. They are moved from machine to machine by hand.

When we saw the television crews at the hotel we really thought it was a big deal! Then it turned out there was a child beauty pageant going on (you can't make this stuff up). I believe the TLC crew was there filming for the reality show, "Toddlers and Tiaras".

During one of the clubroom sojourns, we had a drawing (from a hat, of course). The winner each time got their pick of several items donated generously.
I came second, and this is what I chose. Humorously, I own no Stetsons.

Here's the only pic I took of the factory. This is taken from one end of the factory looking at the other end......it was a loooong walk .
