I once routed a trip to New Mexico through El Paso to stop by the Lucchese outlet. Did not disappoint. Got some simple drk grey ropers for $99. Rarely wear them, but I do have my token pair of boots.

It's kind of a grey area whether these Red Wing Pecos are legitimately cowboy boots, but they definitely were a better choice to wear to the river earlier today than any of my other ones.

These Stewarts were a birthday gift in about ‘83 from my now ex-wife. Beautiful horsehide, wore them out. Wore her out too, i guess, but i kept the boots.

Interesting to see what us "frugal" guys use for boot trees, Abba Dabba uses pool noodles.

I take plastic 1 liter seltzer bottles and put them in the freezer upside down with the cap off. When good and cold I turn them over and cap tightly. When they come up to room temp the air inside expands and they are nice and hard, will hold up a boot nicely and still room for air to circulate, especially through the "crowned" bottom.

Yeah, have to get out more...
