I got this custom Whippet in from @belfastboy yesterday.

Robert was a joy to work with, and we designed up a hat that came out beautifully. I had thought to pick a silverbelly felt, but in the end we decided the slighter darker tan-colored felt works better with the dark brown contrasting crown and brim ribbon, which really worked out, in my opinion. Then when we chose the liner material, against the felt and that dark sweatband, everything just clicked into place.

Well packaged, and with a custom brim block included. Thanks Robert. I love this hat.

Got this hat in yesterday. This is a maker been interested in for a while, and I'm happy to have found one on the secondary market.

The eBay listing described it as a 100% rabbit/hare blend, and I have no reason to doubt it. The felt is a little stiffer than I prefer, but it's still obviously a quality hat. I'd like to handle one of their 100% beaver hats someday to compare.

One thing that surprised me is that it doesn't naturally hold a deep, sharp pinch. That's interesting because it looks much more defined in the photos on their website.

I really like the tall crown, the wide ribbon, and the ribbon/felt color combination. The large double bow is a nice touch, and I like the dark liner too.

I think this is the first hat I own that's blocked noticeably higher in the front, and I like that for a little variety.

It doesn’t have a sweatband bow. Seems like an odd design choice. Also, there's a slight texture change over the stitch line that I don't remember seeing on other hats. If anyone knows what causes that, I'd love to hear. Maybe a coating meant to protect the stitches, or a slight scuffing of the material from the sewing machine?

I'll post one of Hufvud's photos of the Ragnar at the bottom for comparison. Curious what you guys think.

I have a Hufvud from 2020 and it also doesn’t have a back bow.

Very nice — great addition to have a custom block!

I really like the matching ribbon on this one. My guess is this is a 1960s hat constructed in the Brockville, Ontario factory in Canada. The liner tip features a beaver on the left and a Canadian maple leaf inside the shield, which I believe was exclusive to that factory. I believe the factory permanently closed in 1970.
