The action gussets work perfectly. For something so fitted it has a lot of mobility. The color ranges from oxblood in bright light to dark brown maroon in shade because of how the blue sky reflection adds to the red.

The cotton lining is very comfortable, even on this hot 80 degree day that had me sweating the second i put it on.

I have zero complaints about this timeless crisp stylish interpretation of this design, the execution is above reproach.

Thank you for the history on that (just the style name is a great starting point). I knew the jacket style went back to sid vicious, but i didnt know the Lewis Leathers 'mustang No.1060' connection.

It was just an educated and perhaps misguided guess on my part.

I do remember @AerGuitar had been experimenting with the Dominator-pattern and came up with one or two variants he displaysed here on TFL. Of course, the shoulder gussets are not true to the original, but they do enable a slimmer silhouette while maintaining that overall "clean" look.

Looking more closely at your jacket, the waist band seems to suggest more of an Highwayman-ish style. That is neither here nor there: It is a great jacket that couldn´t look better on you!

One more gushing post. When i say nearly custom fit i mean it. 13" circumfrance forearms arent body builder size, but as an ironworker i have had a few jackets that made it hard to bend my arm because of tight sleeves. These are as though the leather was cut from a pattern made by laying it over my arm and cutting, its that perfect.

The liner is so clean, with the olive stitching standing proud on the black cotton.

But the real stand out subtlety of this piece is the cut of the sleeves. They are cut such that the cuff flares slightly at the wrist, and the whole naturally produces a standing inward spiral, effectively building into the initial fit what would happen over time to a more symettrically cut jacket through years of breaking in. Its a *beautiful* visual representation of pattern skillcraft and the 3d spacial conceptualization to a 2d space needed to implement it.

Thanks! Man, you wear that jacket better than I did. I think the sleeve design is more trial and error than genuine skill at this point! It is a bit of a pain to wrap one’s head around turning a 2D pattern alteration into a 3D result. I aim for comfort when in a riding position on the bike, and that seems to work fine in daily wear, at least for myself. I have learned over the years of wearing different jackets that having extra room in the upper sleeves really lends itself to mobility and even layering more so than shoulder numbers. I’m able to comfortably wear jackets with shoulders ranging between 17” and 18.5” depending on room in the upper sleeves, and I always feel like the narrower the shoulder, the better (or more fitted) a jacket looks on me. I’m sure others may disagree, but this formula has always worked for me personally. Thanks again for the kind review of the jacket!
