I’ve got a new toy coming soon… super excited about it.

Robert can post pictures if he wants… otherwise I’ll wait until it arrives. This is my first custom hat. Sneak peek…

Here are pics of the hat itself. I think Josh chose a great ribbon. It is vintage grosgrain but with subtle horizontal ribs as well. More of a green in actuality with the blue undertones....but blue always shows stronger in the pics. Grade 2 Panama straw

Ladies and Gentlemen, may I present my first custom hat! A Montecristi from our very own Wolfbrae, Mr. Robert Gault.

Thank you Robert for sending me this lovely hat.

Robert helped me dial in the size so that it fits perfectly. Most of my hats either fit a little snugly or a little loosely, because I am pretty much right in between a 7 3/8 and 7 1/2. I am also at the top end of the range for "normal oval"; just under the point where it tips into the "long oval" bracket. Mr. Gault is the hatter that helped me figure this out.

Here are the last 2 Panamas out the door for this season. Heading to Chicago to a husband and wife. I flanged the lady's hat so it could be worn with the brim flipped up. flipped down, or down in front...up in the back Ribbons are vintage grosgrain in a dark copper.

Those are otw to me and my wife. She's really excited to receive it which is great that I can get her involved in this new enthusiasm that I have. I'm super excited to have a solid hat to wear here for the summer.
