Pretty sure the DSA# gives you the manufacture date.
In this case 76 so 1976.
Appears to be an authentic US military issue coat.

I also had an original in the 80s. The current one is from Helikon Tex and is quite similar to the original. At least as a layman, I don't see any major differences.

Not a long size, but the normal ones are huge. At 196 cm, I don't need a long one.

This is a vintage Alpha industries dated 1976 so it should be American made, but with a CSN ( contractor stock number )instead of an NSN ( national stock number ) I don't think it's actually USGI.
It's still American made by an official contractor / manufacturer so there's no actual difference beyond the markings on the label.
