Yesterday, I had a great time attending an all-day professional conference in Washington, D.C. Unfortunately, that meant I could not do my regularly scheduled livestream yesterday but fear not because I will still deliver Hat Tuesday #3 (Wednesday Edition) when I go live at 11am EST. Today, we are tipping our crowns (literally) to my Akubra Stylemaster in Navy Blue — a hat so sharp it makes indigo jeans look underdressed. We will delve into why the Akubra brand is so beloved by hat nerds: classic lines, felts that laugh in the face of rain, and silhouettes so clean they make other hats question their brims. Navy might be the color of uniforms, but trust us — there is nothing standard-issue about this one. Some say Akubra hats can make both Bondi surfers and Melbourne lawyers nod in approval. So grab your favorite beverage, settle in, and join us for a felt-filled chat. Bonus points if you show up wearing a hat with more stories than a rabbit fur warehouse. Lastly, a huge thanks to @jeffgarf for selling me this beauty at a great price.

Trying a different brim shape on a new rabbit/beaver felt Indy Hat. Also having fun with a new hot foil stamper!
Every time I replace a worn out sweatband I wish I had a foil stamper. With the leatherwork I do, there have been many times it would have been great.... soft leathers and oil tanned just dont stamp well with my maker stamp very well. I AM getting ready to get brave and try heating up the steel makers stamp and see how it does as a branding iron

Got a great deal on eBay, was actually cheaper than the Amazon prime deal.

“I come from the land Down Under,
Where the felt is strong and the brim won’t flounder.”

Forget crocodile wrestling — this Akubra Stylemaster in Navy Blue color is Australia's wink to city style. Perfect for turning heads in Melbourne laneways or ordering a flat white with just the right amount of brim snap.

Glad you liked it. I'll have to watch the episode on it later.
