Another week another travel hat, this time the Mirtillo Borsalino with shark gills I posted about in the Brotherhood last week.

It has a really distinctive appearance because of its shark gills. I will have to read your Brotherhood post.

I was wearing a different kind of hat this morning when I climbed over 1000m on my bike to get to the Oishi Highlands. Stunning views from the top, but it was a hell of an effort to get there. Maximum incline of 19%

My bike, a Phillips, circa 1926, has become quite a collectable item since Phillips ceased trading about 50 years ago. That bike, bought from a trader at a festival, quite cheaply, he didn't know the collectable value, became a fortuitous purchase.
Following my hip replacement, my surgeon reccomended cycling to rotate the hip, so now the shoppers at my supermarket see me on my phillips bike wearing the straw that former Lounger Esther Weis made.
You can rest assured though, I won't be going up any mountains on it!
