An epilogue to yesterday's hat story... when Charles E. Blair of Laramie Wyo. closed his dry goods store in 1927, the property was sold to J.C. Penney. In my lifetime I have owned exactly one thing from J.C. Penney - this sporty Kennel Club fedora with novelty band and spiral stitched brim, presented today. Era unknown - perhaps 1940 or a little earlier.

Happy Saturday morning! Warm and muggy with an overcast sky and possibility of a thunderstom later ( and then 4 more days of storms). I feel a week of Hemp and Akubras coming up here. Time for a happy bright shirt and one of the Hemp Stratoliners, The Sage Green is currently in competition with my my new blue Hemp Borsalino as my favorite colored summer hat. Originally is was a darker green shade. Over time this one has faded just a bit and I like it way better now

Yes! I DO like old MG's. My parents had a TD while I was growing up, and I later got to drive it around town when I finally got my drivers license. I still can't believe they let me do that, lol. I also DO very much like that MG shirt you're wearing.
Thank you for your compliment, that shirt always gets attention. It was an amazing gathering with a couple of TD's there. The MG TD is the car that I desired but Tina was against an open top car, the Y-Type that we have is like a sedan version of the TD but without the twin carbs.

A bespoke, cream coloured, Gamble & ***n for church this morning, although that may change later on. Enjoy the long holiday weekend Loungers.

The various titles of aristocrat depends on specific rank within the hierarchy, but generally include terms like Duke, Earl, Baron and Marquess. These titles indicate an aristocratic lineage or a position of high social standing. Lord Joseph has got a certain kind of ring to it, wouldn't you say? That Mallory only emphasises your status Joe, sorry, I mean, Lord Joe.

Very nice, Robert. I like this colour scheme. Good to see you have some sunshine left.

Sunday Greeting all! Dull, Overcast sky on east Texas today so it seemed like a good morning for a subdued hat. This one my newest Open Road that actually came out of my familys hometown of Cookeville, Tennessee. A 3x Long Oval with embrordered last drop liner. One of my few cattlemans crease hats

Why thank you sir.. and all that aristocracy goes quite well with my old graphic tee if I do say so myself. ;) You are looking quite dapper today.
