As always. Robert, you look magnificent.
Tina read your comment Mark, smiled and said: "Now there's a connoisseur." You probably guessed that she made my shirt and trousers, but she also suggested a hat change. "The cream coloured hat compliments the entire outfit," was her advice.
Nice! I've seen pictures of Y-Types, but I've never seen one up close. I hope to have the opportunity to see one in person one day.
https://www.thefedoralounge.com/threads/vintage-cars.8212/page-16 That link will take you to the vintage car thread. You will love the colours of the beautiful TC with it's chromed spoke wheels/ Just below it is my Y-Type.
I should also tell you that a couple of weeks ago my wife walked into my office when I was catching up on the lounge, and your picture was on the screen. The thing she noticed immediately was your shoes! I showed her a couple more of your posts. She said she was impressed, and that they look very high-end. She doesn't make comments like that unless she's sincere - especially about shoes. :)
Thank your wife for her kind complimentary remarks, i appreciate them. My shoes are hand made, I have known Colin ( https://www.colinjohnsonshoes.com/ ) for many years. When we first met is lost in the mists of time, it was probably at some festival where he had a stall selling his shoes.
I remember telling Colin that shoes were a problem for me, my right foot being fractionally bigger than the left. "I can make you shoes to fit," was his boast, and he has been doing so for many a year.

It was bespoke shoes that got me into bespoke hats. I met a milliner from The Susquehana Hat Company at a similar festival to that of Colin. Following that meeting a unique hat block was made and Susquehana have made nearly all my hats. Gamble &***n bought out Susquehana, but nothing has changed, the new company carried on making bespoke hats as well as ready made, so I contact Gamble & ***n for my hats nowadays.

I’m sure you will do a fantastic job — can’t wait to see the final results!
Thanks, bro!
I’ll be posting pics as the full restoration goes along on the thread a good friend started for me that has covered many of my hat builds and restos. Please check out the progress and feel free to make any comments.
I’d leave a link to that thread, but I don’t know how to make them on here, though I should, since I’ve been here around 5 1/2 years. :)
However, if you Type in “Randall Renshaw Restorations” on search I think you should find it.

That's a very cool story on how you started with the bespoke shoes and hats - thanks for sharing it. I went to the link you provided and your MG is, in a USA term I'm not sure is shared across the pond, a "creampuff" (that's a compliment, by the way). It looks like it rolled out of the dealership showroom yesterday. It's a beautiful car.

Memorial Day greetings. Watching some nasty looking storms on the weather radar... May be an indoor day protecting Mr Moose from the thunder.

While its still dry, the coffee hat of the morning is one of my Stetson *** Clubs. This one got an unsual mottled felt coloring...almost spotted in the right light lol

Happy Memorial Day to US members.

I have spent parts of the last few days watching WWII docos, but will spend this evening with family remembering our nation's fallen.

I'm still undecided what hat to wear tonight, but so far today it's been the Melton. This is my only hat with a thin brim biding on top and wide underneath.
