Trying to decided between a G1 jacket and a 33 halfbelt

The VERY day I post the SJC jacket after checking almost daily for the last4 months or so, my size disappears, lol. Which one of you bounced on my jacket? lol

The zipper pull with the loop does look very different when compared to a ball chain pull. It is vintage correct though.

Definitely not "vintage correct" in that size...
It's almost twice as large as what a vintage one would be:

IMO it looks a bit weird when worn, out of proportion.

I received shipment of the Cathcart 33 Leather jacket in black a few days ago. It is a superb jacket. It has a nice thickness to it. The fit in the sleeves is spot on. I initially thought the wrong size jacket was sent. I've gained more weight than I expected. Adam at Cathcart was very accomodating and offered to send a size up in exchange. We came to agreement that since I plan to lose weight that the size 40 will be fine. He explained that it will get a great patina. I can't wait to lose weight now. The jacket will be a motivation, lol.

One more thing, while over at the Cockpit U.S.A. website, I ran across a military jacket that combines elements of both the halfbelt and the G1. It has a vintage straight collar, though not spear point, its very close, and the chest pockets of the G1. Its a interesting combination that obviously can be dressed up or down:

That jacket looks good. You changed the zipper pull on the 33 jacket?

Made it 'from scratch' with a small chain and a couple of jump rings after the zip chain broke.
