Yeah, this jacket is not a repro.. I also like the straps on my GW Ventura as well.
But there really is nothing like wearing the original vintage jacket.

Picked this up on ebay for my wife. It far exceeds expectation. Need to research it, but prob late 70s early 80s. Kind of 141ish with some nice female touches. Glorious fat talon zip, nice grainy leather, cool cut. I sewed shut halfway up the action back to give it more fit. Wish I got so lucky with my first leather jacket purchase lol.

Certain jackets just beg to be styled in a throwback way, I think.
I just received from @Rosecitymike his (now mine) Aero Highwayman in Connolly Steerhide (this one also formerly belonged to @Monitor).
I found it looks best when worn with clothes that also give off a '50s vibe. For me, it works with some higher-rise chinos and black pebble-grained vintage Nettletons USA longwing shoes. I really like that look for this particular jacket, even though I generally prefer to wear selvedge jeans and boots with my leather jackets.
I don't have a pic of this combo yet, but will get the GF to take one so I can post here.

I agree! This jacket has me at a strange place. Was given to me free, unannounced…just appeared at my door, compliments of an incredibly generous member here. The strange place is that I haven’t even looked at the jacket I dropped a grand on since I opened this vintage gem. Not that it matters. Moral of the story is that this is a great community and I am blessed to be a part of it. Good deeds are contagious, and I feel compelled to pass that along. So I will do so very soon. But it for damn sure won’t be this jacket
