It's indeed a zipper for mouton collar attachment. The teeth have soft edges that don't scratch.

Conditioned this Leathershop jacket today. I had to wash it and the leather feels better now. Still thin and the quality of the jacket is not great but somehow I'm beginning to like it. I don't know if I will wear it that much because it really screams "biker", especially with engineers. I want my motorcycle back!

This jacket defeated most of the high-end ones I bought afterward, being one of very few permanent contenders in the wardrobe. Definitely one of the finest jackets I've had, even though it didn't feel this way at first.
