How many new jackets do you have coming (and how many potential ones)?

Ugh... Leather pants thread got moved to a weird part of TFL but here's the link in case anyone's interested. Bates pants arrived today and they deserve to be seen!

Did you get the whole ensemble? I'd love to see the matching jacket!

Nah, just these. I know that the belt was a part of the set but I didn't get it either. I'll try to track one down. I can have Aero make me one, it's essentially the same.

I'm considering this Eastman Leather Mechanic Type D-1 but due to my lack of experience with both Eastman and shearling jackets, I'm not sure if 375€ is a reasonable price for an Eastman D-1 in this "good" condition. The owner told me that no cleaning is necessary (no odors) and also no repairs are necessary, just the shearling is a bit worn on sleeves and hem. I wonder if cleaning in a bathtub with warm water and detergents is possible or if extra chemical dry cleaning is necessary. I was also in discussing with John Lever about his RMC B-3 but I'm not sure about sizing (42) and also if the B-3 is too thick/warm for our climate. D-1 or B-6 might be a better choice. I was even thinking about Thedi's thinner modified B-3 jacket. What do you guys think? Thanks!

Finding a bunch of good deals on Yahoo Japan auctions has been distracting, so I decided to buy one of the jackets there to see what the process ended up being like.

Not really sure who the maker is.. It has this label:

Which I think I have seen used by some makers like Sugar Cane. Anyway, it was around $60, and I like steerhide, so I bid on it. Although I'm expecting to probably end up paying that much anyway when shipping costs and proxy services come due.

Just NO!!! Don't soak shearling jacket! Never, EVER! Don't even think about it!

The jacket looks perfectly fine as it is & it's a steal at that price. There's nothing that can happen to these jackets. They're plasticized on the outside and there's wool on the inside. Dirt can't get thru one way or the other. You're good. But DON'T soak shearling for God's sake!
