Here's a holy grail of pre-1950s fleck...

I bought this beauty from resortes. Today, after weeks and weeks of waiting and fearing that it was lost in customs or stolen, I had it in the mail. Didn't even have to pay any customs fees. It is already at the tailor to let out the sleeves. Apart from that the fit is very good.

something about saddle pockets

So those are saddle pockets, I was wondering what they were called. I couldn't help but become obsessed with Gable's suit in "It Happened One Night", action back and saddle pockets works for me. This suit might be casual for 1934, but very dressy these days. Thats what i'm going for. Thanks for the pic

By the way, those "saddle pockets" with or without the "Watteau folding" (I don't now if there is an English term for this middle pleat allowing more room too when Pocket is full) are quite a common tailoring practice in pre-WW2 uniforms, especially tropical tunics... I find that very practical as it allows ti have a flatter lean silhouette when empty, but also to carry some ***bersome items (binoculars, bottle...). Best,
