Resistol Stagecoach Long Rider in Tanbark

If you work it with steam or wear it in the rain, be careful. My Tanbark Stagecoach stained my hands before I realized it & left a fingerprint or two on the liner just from the steam. I have not worn it in the rain. My black Stagecoach did not do that.

The dimensions look the same as my Topeka and Montana.

I thought the same thing, especially if you level the brim front to back & take out the packer pull.

The fit is really good and Bond's sweatbands are nice. It can handle a bit of wind without flown away.

Could have used one like that when we lived in Arizona. Shade could be really scarce.

Cold is back in the late evening and early morning

Lobbia Borsalino restored in USA in the west coast by the BSHW workmanship
On the background in the right corner there is the house, now restored, where my maternal grand father, Edoardo, was born

It was sold in East countries before the WWII

No paper label, but I guess the color is "Mirtillo" or one of the endless greys Borsalino used

The felt is fantastic as the shape. It is one of my favourite of the period

It's nice to see the camelias doing their job again, too. I was a bit worried about them after the heavy snow and bitter cold at the beginning of last month.

Happy Friday everyone! Today is the blue/gray Hückel Special. This hat is my "Flying Finn" hat sold at Olympian Paavo Nurmi's hat store in Helsinki in the 1950s. I thought the Olympic connection was appropriate this week.

Wonderful hat, Daniele. Is the house still in the family?

No Jim, the house no longer belongs to the family. When my grandfather returned home from the First World War, in 1919, he found nothing to await him.
The parents were dead and the brothers and sisters emigrated to America. He stayed with his brother, slightly older than him, here where I live, recreating a life starting from scratch.
Edoardo and Ginevra were the maternal grandparents that grow me up from the crib until the age of fifteen.

The story is a little bit complicated and my grandfather did not like so much to talk about when he went back from Austria after the First World War. The house was a mill and the family lived in a good way until the war, then everything disappear

Thanks for the heads up Jack. I don't think I've ever had this one damp and I'm quite sure I haven't shaped it, so I will have to keep a close eye if I get caught in the rain with it.
