Sun Surf Special Editions are nearly impossible to obtain outside of Japan and we are proud and pleased beyond words to have been able to obtain a few of this shirt print, "Turn to War," which stands out as one of the most unique ever offered. Originally produced in the Territory of Hawaii in 1942, this tribute to America's armed forces featured a multitude of images from America's then-fledgling Army, Army Air Corps, Marine Corps, and Navy that were all rapidly turning from their peacetime footing to total war. Notable images depicted include: paratroopers, early-style Elco PT Boats, attack bombers, artillery, Bantam Jeeps, Pennsylvania-class battleships, M-3 Lee tanks, and much more! The colors and detail depicted are really superb, especially the early-style markings, and even the muzzle flash from an attack bomber's ***s! Very few Hawaiian shirts were produced with wartime motifs, and even fewer yet in the early days of 1942.

Master retro-artist Vince Ray's collaboration with Star of Hollywood continues, and "Space Rockets" stands out as one of the very best offered to date. This is a personal favorite because it has just about everything my retro sci-fi brain could ever want on a shirt: rocket ships, flying saucers, robots, ray ***s, and police cruisers!

@dh66 as requested. I was walking by a vintage shop in London and saw it through the open door out of the corner of my eye. I literally walked in, checked size, bought it and walked out to get to a meeting in 2.5 mn flat. Has this hypnotic wave effect on it .

A crowdsourcing company called Gustin just produced a shirt that I purchased based on the fabric sample below. Since they first raise the money and then manufacture the shirt, I won't get it for a few months - I'll post an update when it shows up.
