Sonero, the hat is a Stetson Boss raw edge and is referred to as the Fray because of the sweat that carries the name "Fray". Stetson employee William F. Fray developed the process for producing the sweatband used in the hat and other models which use the Fray sweat. You can read about it here.

Kentucky Rancher Hat. Looks somewhat similar but I wish it came in black.....maybe a good idea for a custom job.

Having some fun at the Range with a Ruger 10-22 Custom built (by me)...

The Hat I found at a local *** show for $17.00, its a Clone of Stetson OR or Strat, says on Sweat band "Showerproofed by Dryette", sold by Fields of Flint, Michigan, the hat is a beautiful Felt, soft, pliable, very light weight like my Vita-Felt Stratoliner, perfect for everyday wear...I suspect its a 1950's or 60's made by Stetson for this Fields Co.

Nice job steaming it back into shape.

Thanks - no steaming needed, the thin super-soft felt pops right back into place.

The unreeded sweatband helps with rolling the hat for packing as well.
