Late afternoon I was out and picking tomatoes out of the garden. Oh, la, la fresh tomato sauce for pasta tonight! The girls in the gym brought me a new recipe for spinach pasta that I have prepared. The pasta noodles are laying out on the kitchen counter ready for the boiling water. Movie on hold in the theatre, wine chilling, rasberry pie cooling and popcorn machine at the ready. Date night in the house!

I will need to go in and change from a white cotten sweater and silbelly Stetson Statoliner (50's version) before starting the sauce. No splatters on me!

I really like the pic in my previous posting as it is telling the story of my evening preparations, but it is not a great hat pic. Apologies to the "hat fan crowd." Below is a better pic of the hat itself.

I am excited for my date evening. Dates are good, IMO.

yes this one was the lucky find i could get that was from the mid to late 40's era the hat is beaver felt, and the open crown rises the hat to 5 1/2 - 5 3/4
